Synopsis

The module is aimed at introducing the Islamic law, its sources and objectives, its basic rulings (ahkam) and the legal maxims. Furthermore, it exposes the students to the Islamic perspective on the salient issues relate to healthcare facilities management, specially the issues that are related to the healthcare standards, building laws and healthcare project management, communication and customer relations management, healthcare building and office management, as well as financial and accounting management.

Objectives

  • Introduce Islamic law, its sources, objectives, and its basic rulings and legal maxims.
  • Study the Islamic perspective on the main issues related to facility management and healthcare facility management.
  • Highlight the Islamic view on the key issues related to healthcare standards, building laws and healthcare project management.
  • Bring into focus the Islamic outlook on the main issues related to communication and customer relations management, healthcare building and office management, as well as financial and accounting management in the healthcare sector.
