What do the Icons Beside the Curriculum Mean?

Ever wonder what those little icons beside the curriculum are for? Then you’re in the right place! One of the things that makes Finalspot Online Learning great is that instructors can provide lectures in a variety of ways, from videos to texts. Here’s a short explanation of each icon:

Video:
This is the most common icon you’ll see in a Finalspot Online Learning course. The lecture is a full video, and it could display anything from the recording of a person to an audio and video lecture using PowerPoint to a lecture that’s completely done via whiteboard. The numbers here denote the length of the video.

Slides:
Lectures of this type are typically a collection of slides done with PowerPoint, KeyNote, etc. and will display the total slides in that lecture. Audio is not a necessity, so if you don’t hear anything, worry not! This is intentional. Many instructors will convert PowerPoint slides to a video if they add audio.

Text:
This lecture will usually show up as a block of text. Often, it is used as an introductory lecture. It can also be used to direct students to supplementary material that has to be downloaded from a site away from Finalspot Online Learning.
